This project is for the hypothetical Technical Communication Department at Sony Corporation.
Objective: Create simple design prototype for the TC department of a corporation.

Comments: I had to decide how I would create pages that resembled the main company site. This decision was difficult because I wanted to find a way to get the benefit of the Sony design without the complex implementation The Sony site was too complicated to copy outright. I compromised by making their top and bottom navigation areas into image maps. This was done to keep my site design close to theirs, but without making my code overly complicated with the advanced design from the Sony site.
I performed quality assurance on the Sony TC pages. Just like proofreading and editing text is an essential step in creating documents, so is verifying the look and functionality of web pages. After completing the assignment on my local machine I uploaded the files to the web server and began to test my creation as the user would see it. It was important for me to be sure that the pages appeared as intended when viewed off the public web server and that all image maps and links worked correctly.
By the end of the academic quarter, Sony had redesigned their web site.
